MAJOR MOTION PICTURE RELEASE DAY! May 14, 2021. Congratulations, Michael Koryta!

This “heart-thumping backwoods adventure” (New York Times Book Review) from bestselling author Michael Koryta is now a major motion picture starring Angelina Jolie and Nicholas Hoult.

When fourteen-year-old Jace Wilson witnesses a brutal murder, he’s plunged into a new life, issued a false identity and hidden in a wilderness skills program for troubled teens. The plan is to get Jace off the grid while police find the two killers.

The result is the start of a nightmare. The killers, known as the Blackwell Brothers, are slaughtering anyone who gets in their way in a methodical quest to reach him. Now all that remains between them and the boy are Ethan and Allison Serbin, who run the wilderness survival program; Hannah Faber, who occupies a lonely fire lookout tower; and endless miles of desolate Montana mountains. The clock is ticking, the mountains are burning, and those who wish Jace Wilson dead are no longer far behind.

Adele’s Review:

I’m a huge fan of Michael Koryta’s books and read Those Who Wish Me Dead when it was a new hardback release in June 2014. I can hardly wait to watch the film version. Let’s hope it lives up to the novel.

I enjoyed Koryta’s books before Those Who Wish Me Dead and have read all of them since, and consider him to be in the top tier of fiction writers. I’ve enjoyed some of his thrillers more than others, but all of his novels are five star plus reads. His storylines are incredibly creative and his writing skills are stellar. He’s definitely one my top favorite thriller authors. If you haven’t read his books, don’t wait!
